Politics are excluded from my posts only because the "no win argument" term is reserved for political blogs. Also, the idea of political dignitaries invading a coffee blog or those who believe they are campaigning for them in some way shape or form is nauseating. If you came for politics, you won't find any. If your politician of choice is missing, I'm not sure how you arrived here. But welcome nonetheless.
No, it's not that politics scare me or your "debate" threats. I'm not interested. I'm not interested in what appears to be the only 2 vital objectives in politics: 1.) get the money; 2.) get the power. Then there's no one to stop you really. If all the major corporations are backing you for instance. If every $20 million fundraiser he/she exits makes a difference, I'm not sure how my "vote" counts. But that's just my opinion.
The smiley speeches and how much they want to pat you on the head and hand you tickets to the moon don't phase me either. The noble looking photo ops and charismatic, written for you speeches by Hollywood screenwriters isn't genuine to me, isn't honest and is just another salesperson using the flavors of the day to sell you into buying their political agenda. That's politics. But only in my opinion.
