StarbucksStore Singled Out This Affiliate

"For improper use of their branding", I had been removed from the StarbucksStore.com affiliate program. In response to this removal I had emailed questioning why but of course little me won't be receiving a response as to why. The StarbucksStore can just X you without explanation because who is little me to them? There are just a couple oversights on behalf of the StarbucksStore they seem to neglect: there are dozens of Twitter accounts for instance that use for their avatar the Starbucks logo, link to domains or blogs using the Starbucks logos or any number of their motifs? Interesting how I try to launch a blog and Twitter account devoted to promoting THEIR products and before I wet my beak with my first blog post I am dropped from their radar.

Since StarbucksStore won't be answering me (and decided not to) I will ask you, the
dear reader, why? When promoting anything to do with the StarbucksStore you are given a mass of banners with the Starbucks logo to promote the brand in addition to links. How the heck is an affiliate supposed to behave like an affiliate and earn commissions from a network retailer without using their links with branded material embedded in them already or banners? I could ask "why me?" however, I am a big boy and I will just promote other brands.

No, StarbucksStore, this post isn't about commercial gain. You didn't answer me because I am unimportant to you so this is how I will convey my message. This is about me telling you: 1.) I don't need you; 2.) I will still drink Starbucks Coffee because I like it and so do my friends and family (that would be me promoting you right there) and 3.) ummm .. I don't need you.

In the future, StarbucksStore, take a good look at who your true patrons are. You rubbed this ex-affiliate the wrong way and now I am telling you how exploitive your branding is after me and was before me.

Best wishes, StarbucksStore. I have many things better left unsaid in mind I would like to say that I have accused other so-called affiliations of but I have other tastier coffee brands to encourage others to indulge in.

To the dear reader, I encourage you to continue drinking Starbucks blends. They're exceptional and will continue to be exceptional.

I don't blame the coffee bean for the bad apple.

P.S. This is called First Amendment rights so you should answer more emails from those promoting your product, StarbucksStore, before the Freedom of Speech takes into account your improper use of affiliates.
